Thanks to Steve and Cathy Cammick,  owners of Cherokee Cellars Winery and Art Gallery in downtown Murphy, the Friends of Murphy Library are holding a Wine Tasting party this Friday, July 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10 per person at the Murphy Library. Everyone is welcome.

Judith Beyer will be singing and playing her guitar.  The lovely art on the walls is by Amanda Fullerton.

Here’s a chance to sit down with your favorite cookbook.  We would greatly appreciate donations of sweet or savory finger foods that will complement wine.  Just bring them with you Friday night.   As always, thank you for your generosity (and for your sense of fun — last year’s party was a lot of fun!).

Cherokee Cellars Winery and Art Gallery is on Hickory Street across Valley River from the Curiosity Book Shoppe and behind Hicks Auto Repair. Tickets can be purchased at the library during the week or at the door the night of the party.

Many thanks to Steve and Cathy Cammick, owners of Cherokee Cellars Winery in downtown Murphy for hosting a wine tasting of their delicious wines on Friday, October 14.  It was the perfect summer night to try some of Steve’s new wines, take a few bottles home, and enjoy the work of local artists.

Over 40 members of the community who love the Murphy Library nibbled on snacks and chatted the evening away.  Thanks to all for your support!

The Friends’ Wine Tasting Party at Cherokee Cellars Winery and Art Gallery is the perfect opportunity for Friends members who love to cook:  we need volunteers to bring finger foods for the refreshment table.  Here’s the chance to find just the right hors d’oeuvres to go with wine.  They could be savory; they could be sweet.  Experimenting is okay.  There are no bad cooks among the Friends members.
