Posted on: October 30, 2018

In the next movie at the Murphy Library, Bill Murray is the voice for a bear and Ben Kingsley for a panther, in an award-winning live action/computer-generated imagery film based on stories by Rudyard Kipling. Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken assist in this story about a young boy raised by a wolf.

The library is showing the 2016 film The Jungle Book this Thursday at 6 p.m. Running time is 106 minutes and the film is rated PG. Some animal fights in the film may scare pre-school or young elementary school children.

The young boy is hated by a vicious tiger and finally decides to leave the jungle. He gets help from the bear and the panther.   Soon he learns the value of friendship, family (especially the non-traditional kind), and his own courage.

Call the library at 837-2417.
