Posted on: March 5, 2018

The Murphy Library is showing an academy award-winning picture this Thursday. It won best picture, best director and best screenplay ——over 75 years ago!

Check out these quotes from the film and see how long it takes you to name it.

First: “Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.”

Next, “Round up the usual suspects.”

Next, “We’ll always have Paris.”

Finally, “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

Yes, it’s Casablanca! This Thursday at 6 p.m. the library is showing this World War II romantic drama about refugees fleeing the Nazis by way of Morocco. This 1943 film is rated PG for mild violence. Running time is 102 minutes. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman star.  It’s a winner!
