John is a young taxi driver in Dublin trying to help his mother fight her alcoholism and meanwhile working to keep his younger brother safe, but nothing is easy when money is nowhere to be found.

The Murphy Library is showing Glassland, Film Movement’s drama from Ireland with great acting this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.   Running time is 93 minutes and the film would not be suitable for high school students. Stars Jack Reynor and Toni Collette.

Life is fragile for these characters and when John makes a decision to earn money through illegal ways, he does feel like he is walking on glass. This film won a Special Jury prize at Sundance Film Festival in the Actor category.
