Summer movie about Sherwood Forest hero, Robin Hood, this Thursday at 6

Posted on: July 5, 2015

Youth Services librarian Bridget Wilson’s Summer Reading program at the Murphy Library is all about heroes – animal heroes, fairy tale heroes, environmental heroes, even ninjas get to tell their story. Besides reading those stories, parents and grandparents can bring their children to a movie about a hero this Thursday at 6 p.m. The film Robin Hood is rated G and running time is 83 minutes.

The fearless fighter of this story robs from the rich to feed the poor, but before you jump to conclusions, you must be forewarned there is a slight change to the story – our hero Robin is a fox with four legs and a tail. His stalwart sidekick Little John is a bear, a big bear, and the evil prince? He’s a lion who sucks his thumb whenever someone mentions his mother. This version of ye old Sherwood Forest story is animated with animals and they are funny.  Call the library at 837-2417.
