The Princess Bride offers thrills and laughs this Thursday at 6 p.m.

When Billy Crystal has a supporting role in a film and it requires special effects make up, you know you are in for a fun ride. His co-star Andre the Giant requires minimal make up since he is his own special effect.

The Murphy Library is showing, The Princess Bridge, a 1987 family-adventure comedy this Thursday, April 7, at 6:00 p.m. that begins with a grandfather (Peter Falk) reading his grandson a story. Events move fast after that since the book has a thief, a pirate, sword fighting and – ta-da! – a princess.

Anyone big or little will enjoy this and love the laughs. The film is rated PG and running time is 98 minutes. Call the library at 837-2417.
