Everyone is in The Lego Movie which will be shown at the Murphy Library this Thursday at 3 p.m. We are also showing Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 at 6 p.m. Thursday. A DOUBLE FEATURE!! What fun!

Superwoman, Shakespeare, Batman, Unikitty, C-3PO, Abraham Lincoln, Green Lantern, and Gandalf represent some of the star power in this animated world. An evil tyrant wants to stop them in their tracks. Then an ordinary construction guy calls on his friends to fight for their freedom.

Rotten Tomatoes web site shows 96% of viewers love this movie. THAT IS A RECORD! They love the jokes, the characters, the animation and the story. Morgan Freeman and Will Ferrell are two actors whose voices you will hear.

The library is showing The Lego Movie this Thursday at 3 p.m. Running time is 100 minutes and it is rated PG. Call the library at 837-2417.

Do you enjoy Ian Fleming’s novels? Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the next movie at the Murphy Library is based on one of his books but it’s not a James Bond story. Rather it’s about a guy who invents things that usually don’t work. Then he creates a car that can fly and his life takes off. Best of all, this is a kids movie that everyone can enjoy. Fred Bernhardt, member of Appalachian Beekeepers Association, informed, entertained and created quite a buzz among Friends of Murphy Library when he spoke Tuesday evening about beekeeping.

Have you ever wanted to look inside a beehive? This Tuesday at Friends of Murphy Library’s Potluck Dinner, local beekeeper, Fred Bernhardt will make your wish come true.
