A Frenchman is moving up at the car dealership where he works, including marrying the boss’s daughter. But while out driving with two co-workers, he hits a pedestrian head on. He jumps out of the car to help, they tell him to get back in and drive away.

The Murphy Library is showing Three Worlds, a dramatic film from Film Movement that will not let you look away, this Thursday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Running time is 101 minutes and it is not appropriate for children. In French and Romanian with subtitles in English.

A woman has seen the accident from her window. She runs out to help and later meets the victim’s wife at the hospital. They are illegal immigrants from Moldavia with no money. Meanwhile, the guilt-ridden young driver quietly goes to see the victim at the hospital.
