Woody Allen’s trip to Barcelona next at Murphy Library this Thursday

Posted on: January 13, 2014

When I was sixteen, my parents let me go on an adventure to Barcelona, Spain where two years later I graduated from an American high school. I lived in a tiny boardinghouse run by a Spanish lady who didn’t speak a word of English. That makes it easy to learn another language.

This Thursday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. you will get to see the sights of Barcelona that I saw, with Javier Bardem as your guide in Woody Allen’s 2008 film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Running time is 96 minutes and it is strictly for adults only.

Cristina and Vicky are friends spending the summer in Barcelona. They meet a successful local artist, Juan Antonio, who has more than mixing colors on his mind. He also has an ex-wife, an artist herself. Is she tempestuous? Very.
