Scholastic Book Fair starts this Thursday, May 24 at Murphy Library — don’t miss these wonderful books!

Posted on: May 21, 2012

This past week Joy Bowlin turned six, and what did she do to celebrate?  She visited the Murphy Library along with her 8-year-old sister Grace and 4-year-old sister Hope.

Joy, Grace and Hope Bowlin love to read and visit the Murphy Public Library, especially when the Scholastic Book Fair is going on.

Their parents are Ellen and Larry Bowlin of Murphy and the girls are home-schooled. Like a lot of students in Cherokee County, they often visit the library to browse the bookshelves.

This Thursday, May 24 is another good time to visit the Murphy Public Library. The Scholastic Book Fair is starting and will run from May 24 to June 5. This is the perfect time to buy books for your kids’ summer reading or for visiting grandchildren.

Do you know someone who is graduating from third grade?  Eighth grade?  Any grade?  What could be a better gift than a book!

The Bowlin girls offer reading tips.  8-year-old Grace likes mysteries such as the A to Z Mysteries by Ron Roy.  6-year-old Joy enjoys Clifford, the red dog books by Norman Bridwell.  And 4-year-old Hope?  She likes books about unicorns.

Don’t miss the Scholastic Book Fair to find your heart’s desire.   Call 837-2417.
