Posted on: August 1, 2011

Even a child can make a difference in the world. When a teacher gives his class a project — to find a way to change the world, one student offers his teacher a way to change his own life.

Haley Joel Osment, Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt star in the 2000 film, Pay It Forward. The Murphy Library is showing the film at 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday. Rated PG-13. Running time is 123 minutes.

Of special interest to Murphy audiences is the actress Jeanetta Arnette who plays a nurse in an emergency room scene early in the movie. Arnette grew up in Murphy and still has family here. She has had roles in such films as Pineapple Express, Snow Angels, the Shipping News, and Boys Don’t Cry. Her TV work includes roles in Cold Case, Fringe, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Lost, and Flo.
