Don’t miss this coming-of-age comedy for kids and adults

Posted on: January 22, 2011

Coming-of-age comedy for kids at library is a winner!

Ricardo is eleven when his family moves to a nicer neighborhood.  That means he has to go to a new school.  Oh great.  How do you find friends when you’re the new kid with a funny-sounding name?  Make stuff  up?  Well…yes.

Don’t miss “1981” Film Movement’s comedy from Montreal, Canada about the lessons learned when growing up.  The Murphy Library will show it Thursday at 3:15 p.m. and again at 6 p.m.  It’s in French with subtitles in English and is perfect for any kid or adult who remembers the troubles and triumphs of being eleven years old.  Parents and teachers will also love Ricardo’s parents and teacher.

Running time is 102 minutes.  Call 837-2417 for details.

Thanks for the heads up, I’m always on the look out for a good Coming Of Age movie.
