Library film perfect for kids who love dogs

Posted on: December 1, 2010

Two foster children have a secret pet dog named Friday.  That is so against the rules.  An abandoned hotel, however, is just the place for him to live.  But he can get lonely all by himself, unless a few more stray dogs find refuge there.  Did we say a few more?  We meant lots more.

The Murphy Library is showing Hotel for Dogs, a PG-rated film for children Thursday, December 2, at 3:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  It’s all about dogs and the kids who love them.  It runs 100 minutes.

The actors include Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Don Cheadle, Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon.  The real stars are the dogs as they play along to songs like “Born to Be Wild,” “It Had to Be You,” and “The Murder” music from Alfred Hitchcocks’ movie “Psycho.”
