Auction: Princess Diana portrait

New Friends member Mike Moumousis has donated a framed portrait of the late Princess Diana for the Friends annual auction on August 8 at Grove Auctions. Chinese rug will also be up for auction. Silent Auction starts at 5:30 p.m., Live Auction at 7. Call 837-2417 or come by the library to donate.

The limited edition portrait of Lady Di has always brought us good fortune. I purchased it a few years ago at a charity auction for the Mike Fisher intensive care unit at Emory, Atlanta Ga. While it hung in our home in Atlanta I was amazed how it began a conversation piece among my wife’s girl friends and quickly realized that there was a little bit of Lady Di in all women, better known as the “Fairy Tale”.
